South African logistics group Transnet reported its first annual profit in four years, driven by a terminal stake sale in Durban. The debt-laden firm posted a net profit of 4.6 billion rand for the year.

South Africa's state-owned logistics group Transnet posted a net profit of 4.6 billion rand ($286.05M) for the fiscal year ended March 2026, its first annual profit in four years. The rebound follows a 1.9 billion rand loss in the previous year, driven by a terminal stake sale. Revenue rose 7.1% to 88.6 billion rand on higher freight volumes.
