Senegal's newly formed bondholder group demanded a fair and sustainable debt treatment on Friday morning, setting the stage for complex restructuring negotiations. The ad hoc group hired White & Case as legal counsel to protect creditor interests under an enhanced G20 framework. The West African nation announced debt reorganization plans last week following a staff-level agreement with the IMF on a $2.2B, three-year loan programme.
