Schneider Electric to Open Malaysia Training Center
The French energy technology firm intends to launch a regional training center in Malaysia this year to support the growing data center and semiconductor sectors. The facility will provide technical skills in energy management as AI infrastructure drives up electricity consumption.
Schneider Electric SE will launch a Southeast Asian training hub in Malaysia later this year to address surging power demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure. The facility will provide technical skills for semiconductor and data center partners managing energy-intensive operations. The move targets a regional data center market projected to grow threefold by 2030.
### Scaling Infrastructure for the AI Boom The training center will utilize operational equipment ranging from medium-voltage energy management systems to data center solutions. Henri Berthe, president of the semiconductors and battery segment at the French firm, said the growth of AI infrastructure is driving the investment.
