Russia and US Continue Economic and Energy Dialogue
President Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev confirmed that communication with U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner remains active. While Ukraine peace talks are currently on hold, both nations continue to discuss global stability and energy market cooperation.
Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev held talks with United States negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner yesterday afternoon to discuss energy and economic issues. The discussions continue despite a pause in formal peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine that the Kremlin announced on May 18. The ongoing communication reflects a shared effort to maintain global energy stability while military actions in the region escalate.
Dmitriev confirmed the dialogue during Russia's largest economic conference, stating that communication remains constant. While the formal peace process is on hold, Dmitriev noted that not all contacts are tied to the conflict. He emphasized that both sides continue to discuss the economy and global stability.
