United States Representative Thomas Massie labeled Donald Trump's social media attacks "desperate" ahead of the Kentucky primary on May 18. Trump posted at least four critiques of Massie over the weekend, backing challenger Ed Gallrein instead. The race tests Trump's influence over the Republican party following Senator Bill Cassidy's primary defeat on May 16.
