Renault Beats Q1 Sales Forecasts on Partner Growth
Renault reported a 7.3 percent revenue increase to 12.53 billion euros today. Strong sales to partners Nissan and Geely offset production delays for Dacia.
France automaker Renault has reported a significant 7.3% increase in first-quarter sales, surpassing market expectations despite logistical challenges. The company announced revenues of 12.53 billion euros ($14.66 billion), a figure that substantially outperformed the 11.69 billion euros projected by analysts.
This growth was primarily fueled by a surge in manufacturing and distribution partnerships. Renault saw a sharp rise in sales to partners, including the production of the Micra for NISSAN MOTOR CO LTD and the distribution of vehicles for GEELY AUTOMOBILE HOLDINGS LT, which is based in China, within the Brazil market. These collaborations contributed 5.9 percentage points to the overall growth, helping the core automotive revenue climb to 10.8 billion euros.
