USpower outages is worsening in its latest long-term assessment. This announcement follows a winter storm this week that knocked out power to more than 1 million UShomes and businesses at one point. The assessment, which uses data and other information from mid-2025, warns that rising demand and a changing supply mix are shrinking the margins necessary to prevent blackouts.
