QPlay to launch first listing on UK private stock market
Board games developer QPlay will trade shares on the JP Jenkins PISCES platform starting March 18. This marks the first deal on the new UK private market.
A developer of hybrid physical and digital board games, QPlay, is scheduled to become the first entity to list shares on the United Kingdom's newly established private stock market. The transaction is slated for March 18 and will take place on a platform operated by JP Jenkins, a private markets firm based in London. This move positions the deal on a rival platform to those managed by the London Stock Exchange.
The listing marks the debut of the Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System, known as PISCES. This regulatory framework was introduced by British financial authorities last year to facilitate investment into private enterprises. Under this system, companies are permitted to trade shares on a temporary basis, providing liquidity without the regulatory requirements of a full public offering.
