Nigeria launches new Cawthorne crude grade to boost national oil production

Nigeria NGNG's state oil firm NNPC has announced that it will begin exporting a new light, sweet crude grade called Cawthorne starting in March. The launch will utilize the Floating Storage and Offloading vessel Cawthorne, which is tied to Oil Mining Lease 18 and has a 2.2 million-barrel capacity. This initiative is intended to boost crude transportation and production for the country.
