Neuberg Diagnostics Plans IPO Within the Next Six Months
Neuberg Diagnostics plans an IPO within six months to meet rising healthcare demand. The chain targets 20 billion Indian rupees in revenue by fiscal year 2027.
Neuberg Diagnostics is planning to launch an initial public offering in India within the next six months, or by early 2027 at the latest. The Chennai-based diagnostic chain is looking to capitalize on the rapid growth of the domestic healthcare market, which is being driven by an aging population and a rise in chronic diseases. The diagnostic services sector in the country is expected to expand significantly, potentially reaching $43.57 billion by fiscal 2032 from $16.23 billion in 2023. This growth is supported by increasing health awareness and demographic shifts, with the population aged 60 and above projected to exceed 20% of the total by 2050. Chairman and Managing Director GSK Velu noted that the company is focusing on increasing its market share in advanced radiology and pathology. > Our revenue from radiology is around 22% of the total and from advanced pathology is 15%, and we expect radiology to contribute to a third of the revenue and two-thirds from pathology. While the specific size and valuation of the IPO have not been disclosed, the company was valued at approximately $547 million as of December. The firm, which operates about 200 clinical labs, faces competition from listed rivals such as Metropolis Healthcare and Thyrocare Technologies, which currently hold market valuations of 95.06 billion rupees and 57.13 billion rupees, respectively. Beyond its domestic operations, the firm provides services in South Africa and operates a genetic laboratory in the United States. The company is targeting a revenue of 20 billion rupees for fiscal 2027, up from an expected 16 billion rupees in fiscal 2026.
