Nebius signs $12 billion AI computing deal with Meta
Nebius Group has signed a deal to provide Meta Platforms with $12 billion of AI capacity. The five-year contract could reach a total value of $27 billion.
Nebius Group N.V., an AI infrastructure provider based in the Netherlands, announced on Monday a significant expansion of its partnership with the United States social media giant Meta Platforms, Inc.. The new five-year agreement outlines the provision of $12 billion in dedicated artificial intelligence computing capacity across various global locations through 2027. Under the terms of the expanded contract, the social media firm has also committed to purchasing an additional $15 billion in capacity currently planned by the Amsterdam-based firm over the next five years, provided that capacity is not sold to other clients. This contingency brings the potential total value of the agreement to $27 billion. The company operates as a neocloud provider, offering specialized hardware and cloud services to technology firms. Its infrastructure relies heavily on high-performance processors from NVIDIA Corporation to power AI-driven workloads. This latest development follows an initial $3 billion deal established between the two companies in November.
