DAIMLER TRUCK HOLDING AG subsidiary Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses Argentina opened a $110 million manufacturing plant in Zárate on Friday midday. The facility adds 10,000 units of annual capacity for trucks and bus chassis in Argentina. The expansion targets domestic demand and export growth after the firm hit production limits at previous sites.
The Zárate plant will produce Atego and Accelo trucks alongside OH and OF bus chassis. Executives confirmed the production targets during a Friday midday press conference. Location near a port will streamline logistics for international shipments, according to company leadership.
