London’s FTSE 100 rose 0.26% to 10,722.07 points on Thursday as strong profit growth at SHELL PLC lifted energy stocks. The blue-chip index outperformed the midcap FTSE 250, which climbed 0.14% during the session. The gains came despite ongoing caution over global monetary policy following recent rate decisions in the United States and the United Kingdom's domestic tax adjustments.
