Kim Ahern Wins Rhode Island AG Primary
Former Cannabis Control Commission Chairperson Kim Ahern won the Democratic primary for Rhode Island attorney general. She narrowly defeated Keith Hoffmann in the race. Ahern will now advance to face Republican Alan Gordon in the general election.

Kim Ahern secured 36.3% of the vote to lead the Democratic primary for Rhode Island attorney general in unofficial results released Tuesday evening. The former Cannabis Control Commission chairperson held a narrow margin over her opponents with 97.4% of precincts reporting. If she wins the November election, Ahern will become the state's first Democratic woman to hold the office.
