Kazakhstan freezes Kashagan assets over 5 billion fine
The Kazakh justice ministry has frozen property and transport belonging to the North Caspian Operating Company following the non-payment of an environmental fine. The joint venture partners reject the allegations of sulphur storage breaches and are currently contesting the case in international arbitration.
