JPMorgan CEO sees 10 percent rise in investment banking fees
CEO Jamie Dimon told an investor conference that JPMorgan Chase expects investment banking fees to grow by 10 percent or more this quarter. The bank also anticipates its markets business will increase by 11 percent as trading operations continue to perform strongly.
JPMorgan Chase & Co CEO Jamie Dimon stated that investment banking fees could rise 10% or more during the second quarter. The forecast comes as the largest United States lender sees its markets business on track for 11% growth. Stronger fee income and trading revenue signal a recovery in capital markets activity for global financial institutions.
Dimon shared the outlook at an investor conference in New York on Wednesday afternoon. He noted that the markets division, which includes trading operations, could even exceed the current 11% growth forecast.
