Dean and Smith Vie for Oregon House District 57
Josiah Dean and Representative Greg Smith compete in the Oregon House District 57 race. Voters await initial election results for the heavily contested district.
Pacific Green Party candidate Josiah Dean is challenging incumbent Rep. Greg Smith in the race for Oregon House District 57, with initial election results expected during the evening of November 3. The contest covers nine counties across eastern and northern United States districts, spanning Umatilla down to Clackamas. The outcome will test voter sentiment toward a 22-year legislative veteran who agreed in August to pay a $12,000 fine over ethics violations.
