Japan's pension fund posted a 103 billion dollar gain for the October to December quarter. This result surpassed the 10.7 trillion yen profit seen a year ago.

The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) of Japan JPJP announced on February 6, 2026, that it recorded an investment gain of 16.19 trillion yen ($103.25 billion) for the October–December period. This latest quarterly performance disclosure represents a materially stronger result than the 10.7 trillion yen gain reported in the same quarter a year earlier.
