Jailed former Malaysia prime minister Najib Razak asked a court Friday afternoon to suspend a 15-year prison sentence linked to the 1MDB corruption scandal. The filing arrives a week after he received a royal pardon on a separate conviction. Najib faces an additional 15-year term that would begin after his anticipated house arrest concludes in August 2028.
