Israel Joins Pacific Islands Forum
Israel has officially become a dialogue partner of the Pacific Islands Forum to enhance regional cooperation. Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that the partnership will focus on water management and climate change initiatives.

Israel joined the Pacific Islands Forum as a dialogue partner, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Monday afternoon. The admission expands the bloc's roster from 21 members, which already includes the United States, China, Japan, and the European Union. The diplomatic expansion provides Israel with new multilateral channels as it faces international scrutiny over its military campaign in Gaza.
