Iran seized the Barbados-flagged tanker Ocean Koi in the Gulf of Oman over an alleged attempt to disrupt its oil exports, according to Iranian state media. The vessel, under United States sanctions since February, was carrying Iranian oil. The seizure matters because it affects global energy flows through a critical chokepoint.
