Official data released by the trade ministry on Monday indicates that Indonesia exported 4,655.03 metric tons of refined tin in March. This figure represents a 19.46% decrease compared to the same month in the previous year, highlighting a shift in the export momentum for the Southeast Asian nation.
The March export volume, while down on a year-over-year basis, showed a sequential increase from the 3,634.57 metric tons recorded in February and the 2,653.67 metric tons exported in January. The broader market for refined tin, which involves major domestic producers such as TIMAH TBK PT, has seen significant volatility over the past year.
