India expects 300 GW peak power demand next year
Power Minister Manohar Lal says India must prepare for peak demand to reach 300 gigawatts next year as data centers and electric vehicle usage grow. The government is urging faster development of local supply chains to reduce import reliance and strengthen energy security.
