India Debt Investors Urge More Short-Term Borrowing
Indian bond market participants have asked the government to increase short-term debt supply. Lenders are currently holding a record rupee liquidity surplus exceeding 10 trillion rupees.

Debt investors in India urged officials to increase short-term borrowing to absorb 10.00 trillion rupees in surplus banking liquidity. The consultations come as New Delhi prepares its borrowing calendar for the fiscal second half. The state aims to raise a record 16.09 trillion rupees ($170.33B) for the current fiscal year.
