Under the new mandate, the duty on petrol has been lowered to 3 rupees per litre, which is equivalent to approximately $0.0318. Furthermore, the special additional excise duty on diesel has been eliminated entirely, bringing the rate down to zero. These adjustments are effective immediately following the issuance of the directive.
