India Approves 13.3 Billion Dollars for Chip Production

The Indian government has authorized 1.28 trillion rupees to expand its semiconductor program and develop chip design and fabrication plants. An additional 625 billion rupees will support a five-year mobile phone manufacturing initiative expected to create 60,000 direct jobs.
