Salt & Straw is exploring a sale that could value the artisanal ice cream chain at more than $200 million. The Portland-founded company generates over $100 million in annual revenue across approximately 50 locations. A successful exit would test investor appetite for small-batch food brands in a shifting consumer discretionary landscape.
### Expansion Beyond the West Coast Salt & Straw is working with Piper Sandler to manage the sale process, three people familiar with the matter said. The chain operates primarily on the West Coast of the United States but has recently expanded into select grocery stores with half-pint products.
