Hesperia holds City Council elections

Hesperia voters will elect representatives for three City Council districts in Tuesday's election. Several candidates are challenging incumbents or competing for open seats as the city continues its by-district election system.

Three Hesperia City Council seats are up for election on Tuesday across the United States, featuring contested races in Districts 2, 3, and 4. The November contests follow a 2017 shift from at-large voting to a by-district electoral system. Mayor Brigit Bennington's decision not to seek reelection guarantees a new representative for District 2.

### District 2 Contests Real estate agent Leticia “Letty” Cisneros, small business owner Darrel A. Sauceda Jr., and retired city administrator Erin Baum are vying for the open District 2 seat. Meanwhile, incumbent Councilwoman Allison Lee faces challengers David Bashar Ellis and Jessica Navarro. Lee has served on the council since 2022, including a term as mayor.
