Gold Rises to 5208 Dollars as Inflation Jitters Ease
Gold rose to 5,208 dollars as lower oil prices eased inflation fears. Markets now await US consumer price data ahead of next week's Federal Reserve meeting.
Gold prices edged higher on Wednesday as concerns over inflation began to subside, prompting investors to refocus on the metal's role as a hedge against uncertainty. Market participants are now looking toward a series of economic reports from the United States to clarify the Federal Reserve's next moves regarding monetary policy.
Spot Gold climbed 0.3% to $5,208.08 per ounce by early Wednesday. Meanwhile, Brent Crude Oil prices dropped below $90 per barrel, a move that helped alleviate inflationary pressure. This shift followed reports that the International Energy Agency might authorize a significant release from strategic reserves and comments from political leaders suggesting a potential end to hostilities in the Middle East.
