Germany starts water monitor system as Rhine levels drop

Environment Minister Carsten Schneider launched the NIWIS platform to track water levels as climate change threatens the economy. Thyssenkrupp Steel has already reduced production due to raw material supply constraints caused by low levels on the Rhine river.
