Fifteen defendants in the United States pleaded not guilty on June 1 to charges involving a decade-long insider trading scheme. The group, including several attorneys, allegedly traded on non-public information regarding nearly 30 pending mergers to net tens of millions of dollars. Thirty people in total have been charged with the scheme, with eight having already pleaded guilty prior to the public announcement on May 6.
