Fed to Dedicate Select FOMC Meetings to Strategy
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh announced that the central bank will set aside select policy meetings starting next year to focus exclusively on broad monetary strategy rather than interest rates.

The United States Federal Reserve will overhaul its meeting schedule by carving out dedicated strategic sessions starting next year, dropping rate votes from one meeting in 2027 and two in 2028. The shift marks a structural departure for the central bank as it aims to foster deeper long-term planning without policy distractions. The changes could alter how the institution responds to rapid economic shifts while reshaping communication channels for global investors.
