EU Pushes for Nature Investment as Wildfire Costs Rise

The European Commission is pressing member states to fund environmental management and fire prevention as summer blazes cause up to 19 billion euros in damage. Environment Commissioner Jessika Roswall warned that urgent investment in nature restoration is necessary to protect industries and lives.
