EL AL Israel Airlines will resume nonstop flights between Tel Aviv and San Francisco starting October 25, 2024. The carrier will operate three weekly flights to reconnect the two global technology hubs. The move restores service for venture capital and engineering talent between Israel and Silicon Valley.
### Connecting Global Tech Hubs The route returns after a four-year hiatus following its suspension in early 2020. Shlomi Zafrani, El Al vice president of commerce and sales, said the service responds to demand from the business and Israeli communities in the United States. The airline designated the flight number LY49 as a tribute to the San Francisco 49ers football team.
