EBRO targets 30,000 car output and return to profit
EBRO aims to produce 30,000 cars in Barcelona this year to double sales and return to profit. The firm is scaling output through a joint venture with Chery.
EBRO EV MOTORS SA aims to produce up to 30,000 cars in Spain this year, potentially doubling its annual sales volume. The target follows the 2024 relaunch of the brand, which sold around 14,000 vehicles last year before its current expansion. Reaching these production levels would shift the carmaker to a net profit following a 16.3 million euros ($19.2 million) net loss in 2023.
### Path to Profitability and Production Scale Chairman Rafael Ruiz told reporters in Barcelona on Wednesday midday that the company expects to swing to profitability this year. Higher sales volumes will drive this financial turnaround from the prior year's loss.
