EagleRock Land Files for US IPO with Higher Revenue
Houston-based EagleRock Land filed for a US IPO, reporting annual revenue of $72.2 million. The firm targets a valuation between $1 billion and $2 billion.
EagleRock Land, a land management firm based in Houston, has filed for an initial public offering in the United States. The filing positions the company as a rare energy-focused listing amid a period of renewed investor interest in the sector.

In its regulatory paperwork, EagleRock reported that annual revenue jumped to $72.2 million, up from $17.7 million in the prior year. Despite the top-line growth, the company saw its net loss widen to $73.1 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, compared to a loss of $1.1 million a year earlier.
The decision to go public comes as energy listings remain relatively scarce in the United States following years of investor caution. However, rising prices for West Texas Oil and Natural Gas—fueled by geopolitical instability in the Middle East and potential disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz—have revitalized interest in energy-related assets.
EagleRock operates a business model focused on land control rather than direct extraction. The firm generates revenue by collecting royalties and fees from oil and gas activities conducted by other parties on its acreage. This strategy allows the company to earn fee-based income while maintaining limited operating costs and avoiding the capital-intensive nature of drilling operations.
The company's portfolio includes approximately 236,000 acres in the Permian Basin, a highly productive oil region spanning West Texas and southeastern New Mexico. The holdings are distributed across the Midland Basin and the Delaware Basin.
While the total amount of capital to be raised was not specified in the filing, previous reports indicate that EagleRock is targeting a valuation between $1 billion and $2 billion. The offering is being led by a group of financial institutions, including GOLDMAN SACHS GROUP INC, BARCLAYS PLC, JPMORGAN CHASE & CO, Piper Sandler, and RAYMOND JAMES FINANCIAL INC.
EagleRock intends to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol EROK.
