Dutch bailiff auctions Access World
A Dutch bailiff has launched a public auction for logistics firm Access World after a court blocked Glencores buyout attempt. Interested parties must submit statements of interest by October 1.
A Netherlands bailiff initiated a public auction for logistics provider Access World Group Holdings, according to a GLENCORE PLC spokesperson speaking on an Amsterdam morning. Interested parties must submit statements of interest by October 1. The auction follows an Amsterdam District Court ruling on July 2 rejecting Glencore's buyout attempt through its subsidiary Tironimus.
Global Capital Merchants acquired Access World from Glencore in 2022 for an enterprise value of $176.7 million. The purchase was financed in part by a Glencore vendor loan later increased to $140 million.
