Logan Says Fed Needs Two More Rate Hikes
Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan stated that the central bank must implement at least two additional rate hikes to control inflation. She noted that pausing after those increases would allow officials to assess economic developments.

The Federal Reserve needs to implement at least two more 25-basis-point rate increases to control inflation, Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan said on Friday. The remarks mark some of the most explicit rate guidance offered by a central banker in the United States since Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh took office in May. Logan joined a 10-2 vote this week to leave short-term interest rates in the 3.75%-4.00% range.
