Daimler Truck Holding AG has announced plans to establish a new production facility in the Czech Republic as part of a strategic initiative to reduce operational costs and optimize its global manufacturing footprint. The group intends to invest an amount in the low to mid three-digit million-euro range to develop the new plant for its Mercedes-Benz Truck unit in the town of Cheb.
Achim Puchert, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Truck, highlighted the role of the new facility in the company's long-term efficiency goals.
