Colombia clears Ecopetrol led geothermal exploration

The environment ministry has approved the environmental viability for the Nereidas geothermal project in the Ruiz volcanic massif. This initiative led by Ecopetrol and Baker Hughes aims to provide up to 100 megawatts of renewable baseload power to over 250,000 families.
