Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is adding Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin to its platform, expanding its slate of dollar-backed crypto tokens with an asset boasting a $2.5B market capitalization. The integration follows the stablecoin's December 2024 launch by blockchain payments company Ripple to facilitate near-instant cross-border settlement. The move diversifies Coinbase's product offerings beyond established tokens like Circle's USDC and PayPal's PYUSD.
