China's securities regulator told investment banks to pause initial public offerings and suspended large share sales by existing shareholders, according to people familiar with the matter. The informal window guidance follows an 8.5% slump in the CSI300 Index during October. The regulatory pause aims to stabilize capital markets after frail consumption and property debt triggered the worst monthly drop in a decade.
