China Proposes Revisions to Outbound Investment Rules
China has released a draft of revised regulations for outbound investment to better protect investor rights and assets. The updated rules expand coverage to individuals and introduce new reporting systems for major events.

China will overhaul outbound investment rules to protect overseas assets and fend off geopolitical risks, the National Development and Reform Commission said on Friday afternoon. The draft revision broadens the regulatory scope to include individuals alongside companies and organisations. The update follows new guidelines issued by the State Council in June.
