China has expressed a strong commitment to deepening its strategic cooperation with Cameroon across the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and agriculture. Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao conveyed this message to his Cameroonian counterpart during a meeting held on Tuesday in Yaounde. The high-level discussions took place on the sidelines of a World Trade Organization ministerial gathering, according to an official statement released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday. The engagement underscores Beijing's broader economic strategy in the central African region, aiming to bolster bilateral trade and support local development through technical and financial partnerships. Both nations indicated a shared interest in accelerating existing projects while identifying new opportunities for growth in the primary and secondary industries.
