China Solar Capacity Growth Slows 66 Percent in First Half

China added 72.07 gigawatts of solar capacity in the first half of 2026 as the market cooled following last year's pricing reforms. The decline reflects a high comparison base from 2025 when developers rushed to complete projects before a shift to market-based pricing.
