China to speed up strategic mineral reserve construction

China is accelerating the development of strategic mineral resource reserve facilities following new implementation rules for a 2024 law. The regulations establish a minimum five-year term for source reserves and prohibit unauthorized mining or encroachment on state-reserved materials.
