Centiel completes first Swiss stock listing of the year
Centiel went public on Friday via a reverse merger, marking the first Swiss listing of the year. The firm provides power systems for critical infrastructure.
The technology firm Centiel made its debut on the Swiss stock exchange on Friday, marking the first new listing of the year in Switzerland. The entry was achieved through a reverse merger with HT5 AG, a holding company already present on the exchange. This strategic move allowed Centiel to access public markets through the existing listing of the holding company rather than through a conventional share offering. Shares opened at 3.20 Swiss francs, quickly climbing to 3.95 Swiss francs in early trading. This valuation gave the company a market capitalization of approximately 261 million Swiss francs, which is nearly 100 million francs more than the company was targeting just a month ago. Centiel specializes in manufacturing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems designed to protect critical infrastructure from power outages and grid fluctuations. Its client base includes the fast-growing data center industry, hospitals, banks, and the CERN nuclear research center. > UPS solutions to protect critical applications are becoming increasingly important, driven by digitisation, artificial intelligence and data centres, Chief Executive Gerardo Lecuona said in a statement. > We look forward to demonstrating that Centiel is well positioned to benefit from these megatrends. The transaction, organized by UBS GROUP AG-REG, involved the placement of roughly 15.4 million shares at a price of 2.04 Swiss francs, with a total placement volume of around 31 million Swiss francs. Financially, Centiel reported a net profit of 8 million Swiss francs on net revenue of 45.7 million last year. The company has maintained a robust growth trajectory, with compound annual revenue growth averaging 30% between 2023 and 2025.
