BROOKFIELD CORP is set to acquire World Freight Company for an enterprise value of $1.2 billion from EQT and PAI Partners. The deal secures a global logistics network handling 3 million tons of annual cargo capacity. The acquisition consolidates cargo infrastructure amid disruptions in air and shipping routes.
EQT, headquartered in Sweden, and PAI Partners own the company equally. The firms finalized discussions and expect an announcement as early as Thursday, people familiar with the matter said. Brookfield and EQT declined to comment. PAI and World Freight Company did not respond to requests for comment.
