Brookfield AI unit Radiant valued at $1.3 billion in merger
Brookfield merged its AI unit Radiant with London-based Ori Industries. The deal values the company at $1.3 billion to scale the global AI infrastructure.
Radiant, a newly formed artificial intelligence infrastructure entity established by Canada-based Brookfield Corporation, has achieved a valuation of $1.3 billion. This valuation follows a merger with Ori Industries, a cloud computing startup based in London. The deal, announced on Tuesday, combines Radiant’s on-demand access to AI chips with Ori’s software capabilities to address the global shortage of high-performance computing capacity.
According to sources familiar with the matter, all existing investors in Ori Industries have rolled their stakes into the new entity. Brookfield also injected fresh capital into Radiant as part of the transaction. While the specific financial contribution of Ori to the final valuation was not disclosed, filings indicate the startup held approximately £42.5 million in total assets at the end of 2024.
