Brazilian airline Azul successfully exits US bankruptcy proceedings

Azul exited bankruptcy on Friday after cutting debt by 2.5 billion dollars. The airline raised nearly 1.4 billion dollars to boost its long-term liquidity.

Azul has formally exited its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings (United States) USUS after completing a restructuring that cut about $2.5 billion of debt and lease obligations. The formal conclusion of the process on February 20, 2026, removes the company from U.S. bankruptcy protection and follows its May 2025 Chapter 11 filing.
